I had the pleasure of drafting the appeal brief and appearing on behalf of our client at the Oral Hearing before the PTAB. Today, a client of mine received this fake notice from the “European Intellectual Property Services”. Of course, the format and ask mirrors the all too common scam letters trademark applicants/registrants have been receiving for years. If you have retained counsel, all official communications will be directed to your attorney from the USPTO, the IB, and the EPO.
